Premier Communications recently finished the data installation for an assembly plant upgrade at Advanced Assembly in Columbia City, IN. As part of the overall plant upgrade, over 63,000 feet of CAT6 cable and over 600 data drops were installed. This data infrastructure will support the production, shipping and material storage systems at the plant, which manufactures and assembles seating systems for vehicles at General Motors’ Fort Wayne assembly plant. The project included installing 6-strand OM3 fiber from the MDF to five freestanding IDFs throughout the plant.
