Fiber Optic Installation, Termination & OTDR Testing
Fiber optic cables can deliver huge benefits to companies of all sizes. The speed, reliability, signal strength, bandwidth, security, and other benefits offered by fiber optic cables just can’t be beat by traditional broadband Internet options. Furthermore, fiber optic cables are less expensive, weigh less, and are generally easier to maintain than traditional cable lines, making them a great choice for your business.
As a fiber optic cable installation company, we want you to be 100% satisfied with your new cabling infrastructure. That’s why our technicians are fully trained to install, test and terminate fiber optic cables the correct way, every time.
Fiber Optic Cable Installation
Our technicians install and service single-mode and multi-mode fiber, and we use state-of-the-art splice-on fiber optic cable connectors which ensure the lowest db loss. We are also fluent in customer-owned outside plant (CO-OSP) standards and methods for interconnecting all low-voltage systems within your campus.
Fiber Optic Termination
A successful fiber optic termination should result in good optical performance with low loss and minimal reflectance, and deliver high mechanical strength. That’s why Premier has standardized on core alignment fusion splicing for all fiber optic connections. We’ll help you determine the best type connection for your project and ensure each termination is done correctly for optimum performance.
OTDR Testing
OTDR testing—short for Optical Time Domain Reflectometer—is the industry-standard integrity test for fiber optic cables. It’s used to verify splice loss, measure length, and find faults. OTDR can also be used to create a visual representation—or “trace”—of fiber optic cable when it’s newly installed so that comparisons can be made in the future if problems arise.
Premier Communications specializes in OTDR testing and can provide insight into new and existing fiber optic cabling systems for reference or troubleshooting purposes.
